What makes the Dominican Republic unique are not the beaches, or the food, but it’s people.
Ever so often I find pieces of life that I need to photograph, stories that are slightly out of place but incredibly poetic.
This is one the place where they meet
William Windmill
The window cleaner “Limpia Vidrios”
It all began with me being in what’s call a Tapón, a mile long traffic jam at “27 de febrero” avenue.
To explain why this was so fascinating I must explained that all through the city there are people making their living cleaning the windshields of cars, they do it while you’re at a stop light, and the experience is equivalent to doing a pit stop in 60 seconds.
Usually these people are dressed in drags, using the cheapest cloths they can find, sometimes they’re just kids. On this occasion, this gentleman was wearing a pink shirt with a pink hat and dress pants, along with well polished shoes.
Sunday Lunch
For as Long as I can remember every sunday we’ve had lunch at my grandparents house, this was my seat, looking into the people I love, la familia.
